Breast Augmentation Before and After

Just after your breast augmentation surgery, it is is likely for you to feel pain, stiffness, soreness and tenderness for several days. Pain relievers are usually prescribed and taken for 2-5 days until the pain subsides. Depending on your surgeons decision, you will usually stay in the surgical center for 1 to 2 days. Also, it is crucial that you have established stable vital signs and recovered the surgery without any complications before sending you home. Typically, the sutures are removed after 1 to 2 weeks. You are advised to visit the surgeon to have it removed so that further assessment of any complication can be spotted immediately. An elastic bra is typically recommended to be worn for 1 to 2 months to prevent swelling. A medical support belt may also be suggested if the implant was inserted through your armpit so that the formed canal will be supported. During first week after surgery, it is necessary to have someone to support and help you.
